DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT : PKFZ
is an integrated 1,000 acre international
cargo distribution and consolidation centre
situated on Pulau Indah, Port Klang Authority
(PKA), the owner of the site is undertaking
the development of PKFZ under a management
agreement with JAFZA International, the
international management section of Jebel
Ali Free Zone in Dubai, the world's foremost
authority on free zone management. PKA,
which is a statutory corporation has oversight
of the development of port facilities
in Port Klang. Its decision to develop
PKFZ represents a giant step towards fulfilling
the Malaysian Government's objective of
making Port Klang a regional distribution
base as well as a trade and logistics
centre. The project is a mixed development
comprising manufacturing activities complemented
by amenities designed to facilitate the
growth of regional distribution centres
or international procurement centres.
Through the partnership with JAFZA International,
PKFZ will ensure a high level of experties,
skillful management and ideal environment
for businenesses to grow and succeed.
PKFZ is designed to promote entreport
trade and manufacturing industries involved
in producing goods primarily for export.
PKFZ is gazetted as a Free Zone incorporating
both commercial and manufacturing activities,
which are further supported by quality,

factories and logistics firms can be located
in the same zone so as to allow for easier
coordination and smoother supply chain
