Since SSIC Berhad was established in 1999, it has achieved much recognition including from the Federal Goverment and has become the role model for other states to have a similar mechanism. SSIC's has played a huge role in gearing Selangor towards become a developed and industrialized State.

SSIC Berhad has achieved quality certification (ISO 9001-2000) from SIRIM less than a year after it's establishment. Since, SSIC has also become the coordinator and secretariat for various State and International events such as the Selangor Industrial Awards (AIS), East Asian Entrepreneurs Summit (EAES), seminars, workshops and dialogues.

At the international level, SSIC Berhad has formed strategic collaboration with foreign embassies and the business chambers in Malaysia and throughout the world. SSIC has placed itself one notch above in heading towards the global era by becoming a member of the 'World Association Investment Promotion Agency' or WAIPA to expand its international networking. SSIC also receive a Technology Business Review Asian Awards 2007 for excellence in Government Services (Investment Promotions)

SSIC Berhad aims to be the major driving force for investment inflow into Selangor. In order to do that, SSIC Berhad strives to expand it's international networking and be known globally.
